Never quit...!

Never quit believing in yourself
And in your dreams,
As impossible as it might seem,
Someday you will be,
All that you hope to be.

Mountains will crumble,
The tides will wane,
And all obstacles along the way
Will no longer hold you at bay.

Have faith in yourself,
And work hard every day
Let nothing stand in your way.
And soon you'll have the power
To scale the tallest tower
As the night fades into day.

Don't give up...

Some days are a battle,
a steep climb uphill,
and you think you won't make it
and never will, but
don't give up!

When the money is low,
and the bills are high
and you hang your head
and want to cry,
don't give up!

Things will go wrong--
and they always will;
but try to smile when you
get the bill, and
don't give up!

Life may be a pallet
of gray skies and blue
but only storms can bring
a rainbow to you, so
don't give up!

Even when your spirit's flying low
and you're floating on doubt
and your whole life is
suddenly turned inside out,
don't give up!

Let me tell you
what success is all about,
it means hanging in there
and sticking it out! So
don't give up!

When you're tired
and you can't go on,
and your fuel is low
and your hope is gone,
don't give up!

Remember your dreams
even when they seem far,
because you never know
just how close you are, if you
don't give up!

The tide will always turn
when you're hardest hit,
So give it your all,
but never quit! And
don't give up!

IN MY COUNTRY...

Peace is snoring
Enmity is reigning
Freedom degrades
Autocracy is exalted
Violence is synonymous

In my country
Justice is limited
Poverty is the victor
Famine is sine qua non
And killings are necessary

In my country
Democracy is in confusion
Politicians are criminals
Illiterates are leaders
While graduates are slaves

In my country
Child abuse is necessary
Future of youths is in doom
Youths engaged in illegal deals
Because no one cares for them.

In my country
Cruelty is important
Money is the saviour
Deception is embraced
Honesty can kill

In my country
Hungry politicians are ruling
The president is sleeping
And hangs a “do not disturb” sign
Just by his door

In my country
No one dares challenge
The power that be
And everyone knows
That silence is precious.

I REALLY DON'T KNOW...

I wanted to eat
But my hands refused
To put food into my mouth
Just as it used to do before
Not that I'm not hungry
Not that my belly is full
But I just couldn't eat
Because the world is sick
I saw the earth
Of which I am being hospitalised

I really don't know...
What is happening in the whole world?
Confusion here and there
Terrorist attack in America
Bomb explosion in Nigeria
Terrorist attack in Kenya
Massive killings in Bali
Incessant Killings in Middle East
Unjustifiable war in Iraq
Fear and tension here and there.

I really don't know...
What a world this has become?
Where no nation loves each other again
Give me some things
And I will support you
Even if you're doing bad things
Is a kind of love that exists nowadays.
The world leaders are in serious sickness
Or can we say they're in confusion?
The one that has never happened
In the history of UN

I really don’t know
Perhaps the world is as the same as before.
No! The world is not the same now
It's really egregious
Absolute power is in control
And no one dares challenge
If you can't beat them
It is advisable to join them
That is what world become.

I really don’t know…
For how long
This madness will be in existence?
Are we going
To continue living in fear like this?
Fear of terrorist attack
Fear of abuse of office
Fear of misuse of power
Fear of power of money

I really don’t know…
When one will freely walk in the street
Without fear of being attacked
When one will sleep well
Without fear of bomb explosion
When the whole world
Will come together
And unite as one.
I really don't know...

WHERE IS UNITED NATIONS...?

Wonders shall never end, so they say...! I considered myself and other young people of my generation very unfortunate because of the fact that our so-called "World Leaders" are seemed not to be on our side anymore. Or how can one explain the madness, self-centredness, selfishness, superiority these acclaimed egghead world leaders are exhibiting to suppress other nations in order to control world economy. What is the essence of UN? Is UN truly in existence? Why is it that what is good for America or Britain is not good for Iraq and other nation like North Korea, South Africa? Who will save us from the hands of these good-for-nothing world leaders?

UN was established to replace the defunct League of Nations after the 2nd world war. And there was a great optimism and relief in the faces of the entire people of the world that at last; an organization that will check the misuse of power by our cruel and tyrant world leaders had been born.
But to our greatest surprise, it seemed there is still a nation that is greater than the UN and whatever such a nation says is the final. How are we going to live in peace then?
The most painful aspect of the whole decision is that non of the members of the security council voted for second resolution non supported US move to invade Iraq, and still, US deemed it fit to attack Iraq without UN support. Who is the supreme organ, UN or US? The whole world is at stake and there is confusion here and there.

It is not a gainsaying to say that the whole has been divided over US attack on Iraq. Some on America side, some on France, Russia, Germany etc side while some sit on the fence. The attack has now started despite the fact that it was universally demonstrated against. The fate of the Iraqis had been put in jeopardy now that the war is almost started. I swept for them when tuned my television on and saw the plight they were going through in the name of war. Now, Jordan, Qatar and other neighboring nations have closed their border entertaining the fear that accommodating refuge from Iraq could have negative impact on their economy. How are these innocent people going to be safe from the bomb explosion? Where are they going to seek asylum if not these neighboring nations? In fact, it is just bad and egregious causing inconvenience for others in order to achieve one's selfish interest.

I think, in carrying out any action involving the use of force, a fundamental requirement, under international law, is proportionality. My questions for mr Bush and mr Blair is: will the forceful removal of Saddam going to guarantee meaningful reduction or total termination of terrorist activities in the world en bloc? Should we all be assured that there would be no more terrorist or suicide bomber incidence again after the expulsion of Saddam?

My people, what happened in Afghanistan where US in conjunction with her allied power, deployed soldiers to that ill-fated country remained memorabilia universally. It was the intention of US to capture the acclaimed world most wanted man—Osama bin Laden, but unsuccessfully and disappointedly, the bearded Arabian remains not only invisible but equally elusive and unconquerable. Then, what was the outcome of the war in Afghanistan? Don’t stress yourself, the only achievement was the dethroning of the Taliban and any military action thereafter visited unquenchable humiliation on the Afghan people as innocent children, young people and old civilian populace became the victims of the misdirected and sporadic missiles that sent them untimely to the great beyond.

What is the way forward…? Are we going to continue doing harms to ourselves like this? After Iraq, where next…?
