LEAVING SCHOOL...!
|
Time comes and goes
One day you’ll be admitted
One day you’ll leave school
Either elementary, high school, college or varsity.
It doesn’t matter which, you’ll leave one day.
For now your school days are gone
Many years you’ve been together
Some friendships formed will last forever,
While some will only last for days.
When one started remembering the shock,
A menu in the dining room
Or butties behind ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’ Block
So many people you’d never see again
Some older ones could be so mean!
You were at the bottom of the pile
Now you’re at the top you smile.
Oh the lessons you love or hate
Maybe even bunked off with your mate!
Now’s the time to settle down,
As those exams have come around.
Try to revise, do your best
Or you’ll be lost on the day of the test.
So go on-give it some clout
For in August the results are out.
From nursery, junior, high school too
Your learning curve, needn’t be through
To 6th form 0r College you could go
And further your education you know.
Some may wish to get a job
Hoping to earn a few bob
No more books, uniforms or pens
As they go to work and make new friends
So into the big wide world you go
Where you’ll end up, we don’t yet know
But fond memories you can take away
There to look back on one day.
But no matter what part you choose
Do your best and you won’t lose.
Your hopes and dreams can come true
Determination to achieve depends on you!

sex education for 7 years old.
|
I begin to ask myself why and what for when I heard of govt plan here in UK to introduce sex education to 7 years old school children. I was just wondering what and how it's going to sound to these innocent and bud souls telling or teaching them what they supossed not nto have heard about.
At first, I don't want to buy the ideal because to me it is going to expose these young kids to sexual thoughts as early as 7 and this won't give a fruitful result at the end. These kids might grow up and at 10 or more decide to have a taste of what they were being thought at the age of 7. This to me, will facilitate the rate at which teenagers got impreginated because of the curiosity of these emotionally young and inexperienced teenagers to practicalise what they've heard.
If you will agree with me, raping, abduction and killings of those young girls who refused to give their opposite sexes chance will uprise. Then will the purpose or the anticipated mission be realised...?
Should the government go ahead in their plan or should they stop it so as to safe some innocent souls..
Your views please....

UNREST IN LIBERIA
|
I continue wondering why for God sake Africa nations are seen and presenting themselves cruel, barbaric and anti-development. Why must some certain set of people use we youths in a bad form for the realisation of their own mission..? I watched Liberia on the news yesternight and I felt sorry hfor the plight and predicaments the innocent people of Liberia are going through. Many people have been killed brutally by the so-called rebels who are being used by certain set of people whose any of their families are not included in the war.
I started crying seing people dying of bullet directly fired at them by the rebels. In fact, it's just terrible! My surprise is that the sponsorers of this unrest are in abroad sending monies and materials home to inflict terror on people...
Will UN be holding their jaws..? Will America act now before
it gets out of hands because Liberia was once their colony? What has been the efforts of the so-called African leaders to cease fire in Liberia.
Hope these leaders are not sleeping...

TIME AND TIDE...
|
"Lost yesterday,
somewhere between sunrise and sunset, two golden hours,
each set with 60 diamond minutes. No reward is offered,
for they are gone forever."
Horace Mann
Time is one of the few things we cannot stop. We can stop all the clocks in our home, we can refuse to wear a watch, we can throw out all the calendars, however, time will continue to tick by.
Time is precious, yet too often we do not use it to our advantage. Nor do we appreciate it. Time cannot be captured and kept until we need it. It is today, this moment. Yesterday is long gone, and there are no guarantees we will see tomorrow. Today is what we have and how we use it determines our appreciation of time.
T...truthful about how you are using your time.
I...initiative - take it, rather than procrastinate.
M...manage your time, do not waste it.
E...efficient and effective use of your time will allow you to achieve more than you can imagine.
Make use of your time....Time and tide waits for no man or woman...!

IF I WERE HIM / HER...
|
I strongly hate the phrase “if I were him” not because of anything other than for the fact that it’s full of nothing. Many people have said it before and nothing was done when they got to the position. Agreed or not…? Yes, people like G. W. Bush would ‘ve said it before he became American president may be during the regime of Bill Clinton or others that “ if he was them or part of them, he would make the whole world peaceful”. And yet the reverse has been the case since he became America president, problems upon problems, misfortunes upon misfortunes. For the first time in the history of US, World Trade Centre was attacked by those considered as “the enemy of US” and now, people are vastly loosing their interest in America.
President Obasanjo of Nigeria also had said it before he became the president but to be honest, he has never made any good attempt to better the lives of his people, rather he afflicted their afflictions, adding to the gravity at which poverty was governing in the country before he was chanced to rule. There are many people like that who will be using their sugar-coated mouth to say whatever such as “if I were him”, so as to make people entrust them.
Now my colleagues, most of you would have been saying that if you were them, this and that…But will you actually make any meaningful changes…? What changes would you make if you were at the top post in your various nations…? Would you be like those who inflicted austerity upon their people…? Would you not promise them the moon…?
For those who know the change you would make, my question to you is "what are you doing to make it happen because wishing for something will never make it happen but setting goals and taking action will make your change happen. We have all heard the saying: "Some people go to their grave with their music still in them." They have had a dream but never did anything to make that dream come true.
If you answered the question, "what would you like to change", but have done nothing to change it, start to do something. Break down the change into steps, set time frames for yourself and start taking steps to make that change a reality.
My friends, should we let others change our life…? Or should we be our own change agent and implement the changes we want…? And if an unexpected change occurs in our life, should we need to find the positive in it rather than wasting our energy and time. Should we focus on the positive and in some cases search for the positive because there is opportunity in every change.
What would you change…if you were there…?
Let change be our friend!
Your reaction please…!
